Itchiku Kubota (1917-2003 ) was a Japanese Textile Artist textile artist known for his famous revving and modernizing 15th to early 16th century textile dyeing and decorating technique called 'Tsujigahana'. He created 75 elaborately hand crafted kimonos in his career. Kubota has studied techniques in decorating fabrics such as Japanese-style landscape painting and portraiture and paste-resist-dyeing technique. He used dye, stitching, embroidery and inks bringing life to his visions of colour and lights in ways that leave in awe.
